"Torn" - Book Review

Synopsis:

When Wendy Everly first discovers the truth about herself—that she’s a changeling switched at birth—she knows her life will never be the same. Now she’s about to learn that there’s more to the story…

She shares a closer connection to her Vittra rivals than she ever imagined—and they’ll stop at nothing to lure her to their side. With the threat of war looming, her only hope of saving the Trylle is to master her magical powers—and marry an equally powerful royal. But that means walking away from Finn, her handsome bodyguard who’s strictly off limits…and Loki, a Vittra prince with whom she shares a growing attraction.

Torn between her heart and her people, between love and duty, Wendy must decide her fate. If she makes the wrong choice, she could lose everything, and everybody, she’s ever wanted…in both worlds.

As a special gift to readers, this book contains a new, never-before-published bonus story, “One Day, Three Ways,” set in the magical world of the Trylle.

Once again I fell in love with the wonderful world of the Trylle created by Amanda Hocking. I think I even like this book better than the first one (which is something really rare for me, I tend to not like sequels as much as the first books). Wendy is as strong as ever fighting to remain sane while preparing to become queen and hold onto her confusing complicated love life. There were a lot of jaw-dropping moments that left me speechless thinking 'WOW I did not see that one coming' haha and few books can do that to me. The plot was just as intricately planned as the first and had me flipping to the next page in anticipation of what was going to happen next.
The Trylle series has easily become one of my favorite series so far because of the unique, wonderful and original world and story. I would completely recommend this trilogy in a heartbeat even though I haven't read the final installment to the series.
I really liked the introductions of all of the new lovable characters that I've grown to like. Amanda has a wonderful gift for characterization and a lot of the characters were relate-able at times, some more than others. At first I was a hard-core Finn supporter but now I'm so confused. Why do Loki and Finn have to be two great guys?! Why?! I think I'll be happy no matter which of the guys Wendy chooses but I'm so anxious to find out in the sequel to Torn, Ascend that I will be reading very soon hopefully!

And here is the book trailer for Torn for anyone that would like to watch it to further convince them of its awesomeness :)
